Individual or couples counselling with Kate Reid MSW RSW is available to those struggling with a variety of life challenges, like depression, anxiety, stress management or PTSD and trauma related emotion regulation. Kate applies her engaging and compassionate approach to help you enhance your self-awareness and rise out of the turmoil and into a life with more confidence and peace.

I will help you navigate the demands life throws at you by drawing on both theory and life experiences. With understanding, empathy, humor and years of practice, I support individuals and couples in the areas of trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, managing work stress & moral injury, family problems and improved self-understanding. My commitment in our sessions is to journey alongside you while you explore how to bring your situation into focus and restore balance to your life.

It takes strength to seek support, especially when life feels overwhelming, uncertain, or heavy. As a psychotherapist, I offer a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore whatever’s weighing on you. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, grief, burnout, relationship struggles, or trauma, I’ll meet you where you’re at—with compassion, curiosity, and care.

My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in anti-oppressive values. I draw from evidence-based practices including mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). At the heart of our work will be your story, your goals, and your pace. Together, we’ll explore patterns, build insight, and uncover what healing can look like for you.

Clients often come to me during times of transition, disconnection, or inner conflict. You might be feeling stuck, exhausted, or unsure of who you are right now. That’s okay. We’ll work together to make sense of what’s going on and help you reconnect—with yourself, your values, and your capacity to cope.

I welcome folks from all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. Whether you’re seeking individual therapy, teen support, or couples counselling, I’m here to walk alongside you with care and respect.

Sessions are available online or in-person in St. Thomas, Ontario.
